SERVICES

Garden & Land Consultation

I like to share skills to support people in creating their own ecological garden sanctuary on their own doorstep.  Do you need advice on growing more food and making space for wildlife?  Are you completely new to it all and have some space that you want to look after as a refuge for nature?  I am available to visit gardens and land; with a walk of the land to see what soil, plants, habitats and biodiversity is living there already.  Discussion of possible actions to take to protect and improve the existing biodiversity.  Sometimes this means doing nothing, getting to know your land, learning to see the habitats and land differently and approaching your work differently.  Further services can be offered; like drawing a plan, making recommendations, advising on a timeline, priority projects; all with a permaculture approach.

Testimonial

I found Niamh’s advice invaluable. She is so knowledgeable about the earth, our native trees, plants and animals . And the advice she offered showed an understanding and love of all living creatures. I have an acre of land and she helped me to think about how to lay it out and what to put where. For example, where the fruit trees would get the best shelter, the type of trees that would grow well on my land, how to improve the soil structure and helping me plan a hedgerow. She asked me practical questions like what plants I use/grow most often, and advised me to position these so that I can access them easily from the kitchen. She knows so much about growing and preserving natural habitats and her love of what she does shines through. Her enthusiasm enabled me to make a plan for my garden that felt doable. I was so overwhelmed thinking about it all before her help. She was so generous in sharing her earth wisdom and I never felt judged for my lack of knowledge or experience. The plan Niamh drew up for me is on my fridge as a source of inspiration and a beautiful reminder of my hopes and dreams for my garden. I would highly recommend Natural Wild Gardens and am so grateful for the advice Niamh gave me. I will definitely be using her services again.
